Redding is 3 hr 40 min from Fremont. Prob no airport thats nearby. 2.5 hrs from Sac.

Local business does a moving and storage business. If someone calls in the 800 number, then they are referred to the local office. Provide packing, moving estimates, materials, etc. Local dealer then uses their vehicles or national vehicles. Local Agent will go out and bid on a job, goes into a computer. Bekins will price it on their computer and let the local agent can adjust the price.
Bread and butter is the boxed records storage. Large warehouse. Lawyers, title companies, hospitals, medical is sometimes 2020. 40 cents a month per box. if client needs get something out then you charge for that record retrieval.
Risk: other than local competition, operations. Low switch costs.

q: non competes with sac area? they do have territory rights. Bekins in redding have down into chico. Bekins then connects them to the nearest authorized agent. Willows would come up to Redding.
People drop off their records, no pickup.
Liability on the records? Clients sign off that company is not responsible. Building is not sprinklered....water can do more damage then the fire itself. Some storage have temp control...this one does not.
Hours of operation: 8-5pm. 5 days a week. Interaction is done by Bekin.
